Villains never know they are villains in a picture so I play this like I’m the nicest guy in the world.

Wayne Rogers

Rogers only appeared in the first three series of the long-running TV comedy about surgeons battling to save lives and keep their sanity during the Korean War. He left after a contract dispute when producers wanted to impose a morality clause and turned down the Trapper John role in a spin-off series because he didn’t want to be typecast as a doctor. Instead, he went on to play against type as far less likeable characters in a string of TV movies. He is survived by his wife Amy, two children, Bill and Laura, and four grandchildren.
