Allah told me to decapitate girl, says nanny seen waving head outside station

A nanny accused of decapitating a young girl in her care and then walking through the street brandishing her head has said the killing was ordered by Allah. Gulchekhra Bobokulova admitted she beheaded the child as she told a court in Moscow: “Allah is sending a second prophet to give news of peace." Sitting in a metal cage in the courtroom, she sometimes yawned and waved to journalists. The 38-year-old also complained she had not been fed and would "die in a week”.

I am a terrorist. I am your death

Gulchekhra Bobokulova, seen on camera outside the metro station

Bobokulova, from the former Soviet republic of Uzbekistan, was arrested on Monday as she waved the child’s severed head outside a metro station while shouting “God is greatest” in Arabic. The mother-of-three attacked the four-year-old disabled girl, named Nastya, at her family’s apartment in Moscow before torching it and fleeing the scene. She has since been undergoing psychiatric examinations amid reports she has suffered from schizophrenia for 15 years. Bobokulova, who was remanded her in custody for another two months, had also become increasingly withdrawn and religious, it was claimed.
