Harrison Ford has tantalisingly hinted he may yet reprise Han Solo in Star Wars. The 73-year-old – doing the media rounds to promote the launch of “The Force Awakens” – said Solo could return in some form in future movies, despite seemingly being killed off. “Anything is possible in space,” Ford told the BBC. He also opened up about how the temptation of working with director Steven Spielberg once more was enough to commit to a fifth Indiana Jones movie.
The opportunity to work with Steven again and the chance to revisit this character which has brought pleasure to so many people – not to mention, me – it’s great fun to play this character. It’s great fun to work with Steven.

Ford told the BBC: “I’ve always thought there was an opportunity to do another. But I didn’t want to do it without Steven [Spielberg]. And I didn’t want to do it without a really good script. And happily we’re working on both." Meanwhile, Ford will relinquish his other iconic role, Han Solo, to another actor – one of the upcoming Star Wars spin-off films will focus on the Millennium Falcon pilot, before he ever met Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. "Not a new Han Solo, a young Han Solo,” he corrected Ellen DeGeneres during a visit to her show.
Don’t do it. First, it seems like everything is going swimmingly and you put in 25-30 years, and then they just let you go. And they show you the door and say, 'We’re done with you. Thank you so much.’
