Axl Rose and Slash bury the hatchet as Guns N’ Roses ‘to reform for stadium tour’

Guns N’ Roses are set to reform with founding members Axl Rose and Slash to play at the Coachella Festival in California in April. The band is also in negotiation with promoters for a stadium tour of North America next summer. Although yet to be officially confirmed, it will be the first time Axl Rose and Slash have played together since 1993 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires.

As for Guns N’ Roses, I don’t think there’s ever a chance of a reunion.

Guitarist Slash left the group in 1996 as his acrimonious relationship with Rose finally gave way. However, it was claimed earlier this month that the pair had “verbally agreed to get things together again and re-form the original band”. The band is said to be asking as much as $3million (£2million) a show, with tickets costing up to $275 (£186). Along with an appearance at the Coachella festival, there could be up to 25 shows in football stadia. The act could also be among the first to play the new Las Vegas Arena, which is set to open on 6 April.
