Barbie beamed up for Star Trek 50th anniversary collection

Two 1960s icons get mashed up as Mattel has created Barbie versions of James. T. Kirk, Spock and Nyota Uhura for the 50th anniversary of “Star Trek”. Created in partnership with CBS Consumer Products, these Star Trek-themed 50th Annviersary Barbie Collection figures have the likenesses of William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Nichelle Nichols, and are shown with a phaser and tricorder. Spock is performing his famous Vulcan salute. The figures are scheduled to debut in US stores this month, with a suggested retail price of $34.99. The bridge of the starship Enterprise is not for sale, apparently.

The Uhura doll is a beautiful sculpt. Just look at it. That should be on every girl’s holiday list. Where is Dr. McCoy? You cannot split up the team.
