A leopard has been captured on CCTV prowling through a school in Karnataka, India. The big cat then attacked a man near a swimming pool and five other people were injured before it was tranquilised by forest officials later that day. “It was a long struggle to capture the leopard,” said Deputy Police Commissioner Dr S Boralingaiah. Rescuers have taken the animal to a sanctuary at Bannerghatta National Park. It is the first time a leopard has been seen in the area since 2012.
Although it was injected with tranquilisers it could be captured only around 8.15pm when the medication took full effect.
