Chopped up into 12 pieces: son’s revenge attack on father’s killer

A man whose father was murdered more than 12 years ago has confessed to stabbing the killer to death and then chopping up his body, police say. Alam Khan was 12 when his father was killed by a family friend and Khan, from the state of Uttar Pradesh, has been plotting his revenge ever since. His moment came last week when he invited Mohammad Rais over for a drink at his home. After getting the man drunk, he reportedly knifed him to death and then, using a hammer and hacksaw, chopped him up into 12 pieces - one for each year since his father was killed.

I played some music at full volume and cut his body into 12 pieces.

He and an accomplice then packed the body parts into plastic bags and threw them into a river. However, the bags resurfaced on the river bank and, when police went to try and identify the human remains, they were only able to identify Rais from a surgery scar on his torso. Khan said he was “happy it was now done”. A senior police official, who revealed the hammer and hacksaw had been recovered from Khan’s home in the district of Moradabad said Khan had confessed to his crime with an “utter lack of remorse”.
