Hillary Clinton was under fresh scrutiny today as it emerged 22 emails sent to her home contained highly classified state secrets. The Democrat presidential nominee, who is accused of using an insecure server at her home for official business, was rocked by the revelations just days before the crucial Iowa caucuses. She has demanded the emails, among hundreds she was said to have received at home during her time as secretary of state, are released in full. Her campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said the review process “appears to be over-classification run amok”.
The only reason to hold secretary Clinton responsible for emails that didn’t originate with her is for political points, and that’s what we’ve seen over the past several months

Mrs Clinton has faced calls that she should be prosecuted over the way she dealt with email during her time in office from 2009 to 2013. She ordered hundreds to be released to defuse the row, which threatened to overshadow her run for the Democratic nomination. But 22 messages were held back in the latest batch to be published because they were said to contain information requiring the highest level of security clearance. Officials said the 37 pages of messages did not have security restrictions when they were sent but had been reviewed before they were published. One of her Republican rivals for the White House, Marco Rubio, said: “If someone on my staff did what she did, you know what would happen? They would be fired and they would be prosecuted.”
Hillary Clinton has removed all doubt that she cannot be trusted with the presidency.
