Developing: Kuwait-bound plane in ‘state of emergency’ diverted to UK’s Heathrow

A plane travelling from New York to Kuwait City has declared a state of emergency and has diverted to the UK, reports say. Flight KU118 has now landed at Heathrow airport, according to aviation website Air Live. The reason behind the diversion is currently unclear. The diversion comes a day after a suicide bomber blew himself up during prayers at a Shiite mosque in the Kuwaiti capital, killing 27 people.

Because of that terror attack in Kuwait yesterday, there is more reason to take note of a Kuwait bound jet turning round over Europe in midair and landing in London.
