An Apple worker has been found shot dead in a conference room at the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters. The Hispanic male was found with a head wound and a gun lying nearby, according to police. Officers were called to the tech giant’s offices in Cupertino on Wednesday morning. "When deputies responded to the campus they found one individual male down and determined he was deceased,“ said Sgt Andrea Urena of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Further investigation determined that no other individuals were involved. We believe this to be an isolated incident and that nobody else on campus or in the public is at risk

The death was reported at the Infinite Loop campus, Apple’s hub for its 16,000-strong workforce in Cupertino. The company is building another campus in the city, a massive loop of glass often likened to a spaceship. A company statement said: "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of a young and talented coworker. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, including the many people he worked with here at Apple." The death comes a day after Apple announced its first revenue drop since 2003.
