Father in India invites daughter’s ‘rapist’ over for dinner, murders him

A man in India is facing murder charges after exacting a grisly vengeance on another man he alleged to have raped his 14-year-old daughter. The unnamed 36-year-old man invited the 45-year-old married man, who worked as a medicine supplier, to his house in Northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area, on the pretext of treating him to dinner. The father reportedly strapped the man to a chair, burned his genitals and then strangled him.

After the meal the father overpowered the man and tied him to a chair. He got heated tongs and burned the supplier’s genitals before strangling him to death.

The father then turned himself in at the police station, submitting a detailed statement on his attack. Police said he had been planning to kill the man for some time after his daughter reported the alleged rape to him two months earlier, on the day it happened. They added that he did not report the rape to the police as he said he feared neighbours and friends would blame the teen for the incident.
