Four people have been arrested over the suicide of a revenge porn victim who killed herself after an X-rated video was leaked online. The men were being questioned over allegations of incitement to suicide and defamation in the wake of the death of Tiziana Cantone. The 31-year-old, who fought a costly legal battle to get the video taken down online, died at her aunt’s house in Mugnano, close to the Italian city of Naples after enduring a year of abuse from Twiter trolls. Her family has called for justice and an end to shaming. “Now we call for the justice system to act so that her death was not in vain,” they said.
It’s mainly a cultural battle - also a social and political battle. Our commitment is try to do everything we can… Violence against women is not an ineradicable phenomenon

Miss Cantone died a year after she sent a sex video of herself to some friends including an ex-boyfriend. The clip was viewed almost a million times online and the phrase “You’re filming? Bravo” which she says to her lover in the clip became a term of derision online and was printed on T-shirts, smartphone cases and other items. She tried to escape the attention, changing her name, quitting her job, moving away and won a court fight to get the clip taken down. But she was landed with a €20,000 euros legal bill, which critics said was the “final insult”.
I wonder how anyone can be so fierce, how to rage against a girl who has not done anything wrong. I think that they should be ashamed of all those who have filled the web of insults and meanwhile secretly watched the images
