Police officers, paramedics and firefighters attended and police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the death. The street was closed while emergency services and scenes of crime investigators worked at the scene. A Dorset police spokesman said: “Police officers, paramedics and firefighters attended but sadly a five-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.”
There are just no words! Deepest sympathies. My thoughts are with you, Matt and the rest of the family at this tragic time

It is thought the lift was installed at the house for Alexis’ disabled brother at the family home by their parents, Matthew and Lorraine. A note left with flowers outside the house last night read: ‘Alexis, rest in peace. I will always love you. From Megan.' Mrs Brown posted a picture of the youngster on social media, sparking online tributes from friends and family. Leigh Jayne MacConnachie said: 'Taken to soon, so so sorry Lorraine and Matt xxxx.' Cherry Mussenden wrote: 'Matt and Lorraine I am so, so sorry to hear such sad news, thinking of you all xxxxxx.’
