Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who frequently criticises U.S. foreign policy under President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has praised former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s ruthlessness. “Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right? … But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good,” Trump told a campaign rally Tuesday night in Raleigh, North Carolina. “They didn’t read ‘em the rights, they didn’t talk. They were a terrorist, it was over.” Trump has previously said the world would be “100 percent better” if dictators like Hussein and Libya’s Col Gaddifi were still in power.
Her judgment is horrible. She will be such a lousy president, folks.
Donald Trump on Hillary Clinton
Trump also lambasted rival Hillary Clinton for using a private email account. While the FBI yesterday said she had been “careless” in using an unsecured private server and that 110 emails had contained classified information, it stopped short of recommending she face prosecution. But Trump said the findings smacked of a stitch up and said Clinton had put “the entire country in danger” and had probably been hacked. The FBI found “hostile” regimes could have had access to the emails.
