Honeymoon Brit killed by jet ski crash on Greek island of Santorini two days after his wedding

A British man has been killed in a jet ski crash two days into his honeymoon in Santorini, Greek police have said. The 39-year-old, who has not been named, is thought to have been rammed into by another apparently British jet skier two days after his wedding. He was picked up by coastguard crews, who ordered an emergency airlift to the nearby island of Crete.

Greek authorities said the owner of the water sports rental was arrested along with a 29-year-old Briton - a friend of the groom. He was detained at Athens airport, apparently trying to leave the country. He will appear before a state prosecutor on the island of Naxos on Friday.

A 39-year-old tourist had a fatal injury while he was driving a jet ski. He died while he was being airlifted to hospital.
