IS Twitter account leaks ‘hit list of government employees’

A Twitter account claiming to be run by a supporter of Islamic State has published a spreadsheet allegedly showing the names, email addresses and passwords of hundreds of military and government workers. The account is linked to a spreadsheet which includes Foreign Office workers and a local council employee, and urges terrorists to carry out attacks. The majority of those listed are based in the US, within the Air Force, Marines, NASA and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It is unclear how old the information is or whether the passwords are still valid.

We have your names and addresses, we are in your emails and social media accounts, we are extracting confidential data and passing on your personal information to the soldiers of the khilafah, who soon with the permission of Allah will strike at your necks in your own lands.

A link to the spreadsheet was first posted by Australian terror recruiter Neil Prakash. Twitter accounts pointing to the spreadsheet have been repeatedly shut down, but new ones keep popping up. A message at the top of the spreadsheet says: “O Crusaders, as you continue your aggression towards the Islamic State and your bombing campaign against the Muslims, know that we are in your emails and computer systems, watching and recording your every move.”
