It’s a girl! Kate Middleton gives birth to second royal baby

Hours after being admitted to a London hospital, Kate Middleton gave birth to an 8-pound 3-ounce girl, who is now the fourth in line for the British throne. Both mother and child are reportedly doing well, and Kate’s husband, Prince William, was at her side. The newest member of the royal family was born at the same hospital where the couple’s first child, George, was born.

Words can’t describe how I feel because it’s been a long long time.

Prince Charles had said he would like a granddaughter and William has told supporters the second child will be a “game-changer” after the first “life-changer.” The baby’s name may not be revealed for several days. Alice and Charlotte are the top bets for names, followed by Elizabeth, Victoria and Diana — all names with strong connections to royal tradition.
