Jim Carrey’s on-off girlfriend ‘commits suicide’, coroner says

The on-off girlfriend of actor Jim Carrey has died in an apparent suicide, the Los Angeles coroner says. Irish-born Cathriona White was found dead in her apartment in Sherman Oaks, California, on Monday night, deputy chief coroner Ed Winter said. The 28-year-old make-up artist had been seen out and about with Dumb And Dumber star Carrey, 53, in recent months. The two had been involved on-and-off romance since May, TMZ reports. The couple most recently split last week, the celebrity website said. Ms White’s last tweet on 24 September said she was “signing off Twitter”.
