Kenyan offers 50 cows, 30 goats, 70 sheep to marry Malia Obama

Since he set his eyes on U.S. President Barack Obama’s oldest daughter, Malia, a Kenyan lawyer has been hoping it would turn out to be a match made in heaven. Now Felix Kiprono, 24, a lawyer from Nairobi, is willing to offer whatever it takes to win over 16-year-old Malia. Kiprono has offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats in return for Malia’s hand in marriage –an offer that would roughly be equivalent to some $90,000 (£58,820). He is also in the process of drafting a letter to be sent to Malia’s parents, which he plans to submit to the U.S. Embassy. He said he is waiting for her and hasn’t dated anyone since 2008.

People might say I am after the family’s money, which is not the case. My love is real. Ours will be a simple life. I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (a starchy dish) and prepare mursik (a sour milk) like any other Kalenjin woman.
