The manager of F1 motor racing legend Michael Schumacher has given a glimmer of hope to his legion of fans by saying she hopes “one day” he will be back. Sabine Kehm said the 47-year-old was still missed deeply in the sporting world, adding: "Of course, Michael is not here and of course we miss him. We know what has happened and cannot change it. We must accept it and hope with everything we have that, with continued support and patience, he will one day be back with us.“
He is the most successful driver in history and sometimes, on days like this, it is good to be reminded of it.

Kehm was speaking at an exhibition commemorating the legendary driver’s life, the opening of which, in the German town of Maburg, was attended by Schumacher’s wife of 20 years, Corinna, their children Mick and Gina-Maria, and Kehm herself. There were reports recently – later rubbished – that the seven-time champion had taken his first tentative steps. Schumacher has been in a coma since a skiing accident in France in December 2013. He has been treated at home in Switzerland since 2014. Earlier this month, his former boss at Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo said the latest news about Schumacher’s health was "not good”.
