Out-of-control Mel Gibson ‘spat in my face and yelled at me that I was a dog’

Claims that Hollywood star Mel Gibson allegedly shoved and verbally abused a photographer during an angry altercation are being investigated by police. The Oscar-winner was said to have confronted news photographer Kristi Miller as she took pictures of Gibson leaving a cinema in Sydney with Rosalind Ross, 24, on Sunday. Miller said the actor was “out of control” as he charged after her, spitting in her face and calling her a dog. She added: “I was just shocked that I was being pushed, shoved in the back.” New South Wales police said they were investigating the incident but did not specify what, if any, charges were being pursued.

I thought he was going to punch me in the face. He was spitting in my face as he was yelling.

Ms Miller said the incident happened as she ran in front of the star to get some more photos. She added: "I took two frames and then I ran to get in front of them. I turned around with my back to them and ran forward and the next thing I knew he had shoved me in the back from behind." Gibson’s management in the U.S. denied any physical contact between the star of Braveheart and Lethal Weapon and the photographer. But Ms Miller alleged Gibson, 59 continued to lash out at her until he was led away by an apologetic Ross.

There was no physical contact whatsoever with this photographer, who was harassing my client and his friend
