"Pirates 5" to be filmed in Australia

Captain Jack Sparrow and the gang are reportedly heading to the land Down Under to film for the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean” sequel. George Brandis, a spokesman for the Australian arts minister, announced that Disney’s request for an earlier funding to be used instead for the sequel’s production has been approved. The earlier fund was meant for the production of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, which was temporarily halted when director David Fincher decided to throw in the towel last year, The Guardian reports. Filming will begin in 2015 and the movie is slotted for release in 2017. The filming is said to take place at Queensland, at the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.
