Rebekah Brooks, the former News of the World and The Sun editor, has landed a gig at Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp in New York. Brooks made the move to the States and will oversee the company’s search for online investments, the Daily Mail reports. She will be seeking out Internet startups worth investing in. Brooks, who ran News Corp’s U.K. newspaper business before stepping down during the phone-hacking scandal, was found not guilty in June 2014 of all charges in the hacking trial. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter in October 2014 that Brooks was meeting with News Corp about possible job opportunities.
She is catching up and learning the ropes of the business after three years concentrating on clearing her name.
