Tom Hardy ‘didn’t chase and arrest moped thief’

Doubt has been cast on last week’s widely reported story claiming that Hollywood star Tom Hardy chased down and arrested a suspected moped thief. But engineer Carly Holder, 35, has told the Mail on Sunday that she was, in fact, the person who caught the 16-year-old miscreant and performed the citizen’s arrest. “No one who was there saw Hardy,” said Holder. “I made the arrest. The police spoke to me afterwards and thanked me for it.”

I’m not seeking plaudits, but I would like Hardy to admit it wasn’t him.
