A cyclist in Poland has survived being hit by a fast-moving train at a level crossing. The 26-year-old man was knocked over and fell to the ground following the dramatic crash. But he suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to reports. He was also thought to have been fined £120 for ignoring a red light. CCTV footage has been released of the incident which happened in the Polish city of Opole on 5 November. The country’s national railway service put it out to highlight the dangers of not paying attention at level crossings.
It’s important for all road users, no matter what their means of transport, to take special care at level crossings.
