What was it about this guy’s name that caused an FB group to reject him?

Administrators for a Facebook page, clearly unfamiliar with Asian names, thought there was Sum Ting Wong when they got a request from a ‘Ho Fu Ken’ to follow their page. The admin for the fan group for a custom jewelry brand called Steel Flame clearly thought Ho, a Malaysian citizen, was having a lark and had a rather interesting exchange with the him (see pic above), asking Ho to use a different account with a “non offensive name”. Despite Ho insisting that he was using his real name, the admin was clearly not buying it, telling him to use “anything other than Fu Ken Ho”.

You may see it as fortunate or unfortunate. But ‘Fu Ken’ isn’t humor that is appropriate…
