Brrrr! Maisie Williams takes the plunge for new series of “Game Of Thrones”

Sometimes, being an actor, you face some Stark choices. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in Game Of Thrones, has been forced to take a dip in a freezing harbour, all in the name of her art. The British actress was seen taking to the water in a scene being shot for season six of the hit show in Carnlough, Northern Ireland. Series five saw her character training with the Faceless Men in Bravos but in the final episode she was rendered blind by the guild as a punishment.

I don’t wanna be liked just because I’m pretty.

Much of the hit television show is filmed in Northern Ireland and the drama has contributed an estimated £110m to the economy. Game Of Thrones is based on George RR Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire books. The show has also received 24 Emmy nominations, including a nod for best drama. Last month, an HBO executive revealed the fantasy drama would continue for at least three more seasons. Season five ended with the death of key character Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington.
