Burglary rap: Vanilla Ice, the DIY king, arrested for stealing neighbour’s ‘junk’

Vanilla Ice will be cooling down in a Florida jail after cops busted him on burglary charges. The has-been rapper who’s reinvented himself as a reality TV home renovation star was arrested on Wednesday after police said he stole furniture, a pool heater and other items from a neighbour’s home in south Florida. Police earlier in the day searched the home of Robert Van Winkle - Vanilla Ice’s real name.

It’s a misunderstanding, it was blown out of proportion. It’s sad that good news doesn’t travel this fast.

They found objects that had been stolen in recent months, according to a news release from the Lantana Police Department. The home, which is under construction, is also where the artist is shooting his latest venture, a reality TV show for the DIY Network called “The Vanilla Ice Project.” The 47-year-old has been charged with burglary of residence and grand theft - a charge h denies and assured his fans: ”It’ll all get cleared up, you’ll see.”

Why would you jeopardise going to jail for basically junk?
