Burning issue: TV reporter has cigarette stubbed out on her face outside court

An Australian woman has been charged with public nuisance after she allegedly stubbed her lit cigarette on a TV news reporter’s face outside a courthouse. Journalist Alex Bernhardt reportedly had the lit cigarette shoved in her face by a 23-year-old woman who was at Caboolture Magistrates Court, in Queensland, to support Stevee Jane Kennedy. Kennedy is charged with the murder of a young father.

Just had a woman stub her lit cigarette into my face at Caboolture Court … Charming.

Journalist, Alex Bernhardt tweeted on Monday.

Ms Bernhardt was at the court to report on the appearance of Kennedy after the death of a 26-year-old man who staggered into a service station bleeding from an apparent stab wound early on Sunday morning. He was rushed to Caboolture Hospital but died a short time later. Kennedy was charged with his murder on Sunday afternoon.
