Daniel’s shaken but not stirred: More Bond? I’d rather slash my wrists

Daniel Craig has given the clearest indication yet that he will not play James Bond for a fifth time, saying he would rather “slash my wrists”. Fans will see the star’s next outing as 007 in Spectre which is released in a few weeks but he has revealed he is ready to “move on” from the role. In an interview with Time Out magazine, the 47-year-old said the only thing to tempt him back would be money. When asked whether he could imagine doing another Bond movie, he said: “Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists.”

At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive about who could replace Craig as the spy. Damian Lewis, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy have all been entered into the mix. Craig said he had not given “any thought” to what he would do next. He said: “For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f*** knows?”

Don’t be s***. You’ve got to step up. People do not make movies like this anymore. This is really rare now. So don’t be s***.
