'Friends' star Lisa Kudrow wants a 'whole new series' of hit sitcom

Lisa Kudrow has said if she did a Friends reunion she would want it to be a whole series, not just a one-off. The 51-year-old actress (pictured) – who made her name playing Phoebe Buffay in the hit sitcom for 10 years until it ended in 2004 – took part in a question and answer session on social networking website Reddit.com to mark the launch of her new show The Comeback on HBO. When Lisa was asked if she would rather do a Friends movie or one-off special, she replied: “A whole season, because to spend that much time with those people again would be heaven!”

I loved doing Friends. I would have been fine if we did it 10 more years, and it was great that we finished when we did, because I’ve loved everything I’ve done since.

The actress revealed she has not got any better at playing the guitar since she stopped playing Phoebe. Lisa revealed: “Haven’t picked it up since we finished the show.” But she did help compose the tune to Smelly Cat. She revealed: “The writers wrote it, I wrote the tune, and had a little help from Chrissie Hynde. She was amazing.” Lisa later added: “Phoebe’s song lyrics were not ad libbed. Because I play the guitar so poorly, it would be too hard to learn how to play that badly.”

I honestly think Phoebe would be a super-competitive tiger mom. She doesn’t do anything by half-measure.
