Lance Armstrong crashes into two cars, lets girlfriend take blame

Disgraced professional cyclist Lance Armstrong has been charged for crashing into two cars and leaving the scene of the accident. He has also been charged with driving too fast in snowy conditions. The accident, which occurred late December in the Colorado ski resort town of Aspen, was initially blamed on his girlfriend, Anna Hansen. When questioned by police, Hansen, 33, said she had been driving because “Lance had a little bit to drink”. Suspicious of her story, an officer checked with the valet at the hotel they had been at and found Armstrong was behind the wheel when the couple left the parking lot. Hansen ultimately admitted that Armstrong had been driving, and the couple made a “joint decision” to say she was driving to avoid publicity, the report said. Armstrong is due in court on March 17, court records showed.

If we charged people who come forward, we would rarely get information from witnesses.
