The wi-fi coffee machine that gives you a drink the second you wake up

British tech company Smarter has introduced what it claims to be the world’s first bean to cup Wi-Fi-enabled coffee machine. Like the brand’s Wi-Fi-connected iKettle, which was launched in 2014, the coffee machine can be controlled by free iOS and Android apps and has been designed to wake up users with a cup of freshly ground coffee, as the intelligent appliance will take care of the hard work while they’re still snoozing in bed.

Welcome home

The Smarter Wi Fi Coffee Machine will even have a drink ready for you when you return home

The machine will also let users know when it needs refilling and will even ask you if they want a cup of coffee when they arrive back at their house, thanks to the “welcome home” mode. The sensibly named Wi-Fi Coffee Machine by Smarter will make its debut at CES Unveiled on Sunday 4 January - one of the first events at the annual CES tech show in Las Vegas. Smarter’s iKettle has already proved to be a hit and is stocked in Apple stores across Europe.
