Amber Rayne, adult film star at centre of James Deen sex attack storm, dead at 31

Porn star Amber Rayne has been found dead at her Los Angeles home of an apparent overdose. The New York Daily News reports the 31-year-old collapsed at her home and was pronounced dead at around 2pm on Saturday. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said it was reported as “a possible accident, a possible overdose”. Rayne, who had suffered from cancer in the past, made headlines three months ago when she accused fellow adult movie star James Deen of sexually assaulting her.

Fellow film industry stars were quick to share their tributes and shock at Rayne’s sudden death. Director Stormy Daniels, said: “She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and I’m just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend.” The final cause of death is pending toxicology results. Rayne was one of five women to accuse James Deen of sexually assaulting her during a scene. Deen has strenuously denied assaulting any women.
