Banksy’s Dismaland site crashes again - but is it all part of the plan?

The website for Banksy’s Dismaland theme park has crashed again as fans scramble to book tickets online. Organisers previously announced that the £3 tickets for the exhibition, in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, would be available on the website from 12pm today. But the website was “unavailable” from that time, with many questioning whether it was part of the “dismal” experience. A spokeswoman for Dismaland, which has been set up at a derelict seaside lido, insisted the website would be available later.

I just got trolled by Banksy. ‘The UK’s most disappointing website’ should’ve seen it coming :’) #Dismaland #hoax"

On Friday, 1,000 residents of North Somerset were treated to a special opening of the site, with some camping on the beach overnight to claim their spot. Doors to the general public opened on Saturday but a large volume of people attempting to buy tickets caused the website to crash. Thousands queued up at the site from the early hours of the morning to buy a ticket from a booth at the seafront on both Saturday and Sunday. The lines had subsided yesterday, with just 200 people waiting to enter the attraction before it opened at 11am.
