Owners report iPhone 6 Plus is susceptible to bending under pressure

If you’re finding that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus too large to fit in your pants pocket, you may have lucked out. Some users are reportedly complaining that the phone bends after being stored there while sitting. The MacRumors blog claims at least two of its commenters have reported incidents in which the larger iPhone has bent out of shape after being stored in pockets. MacRumors forum user “hanzoh” wrote that an iPhone 6 Plus remained in the front pocket of his suit pants while driving to and from a wedding. After about 18 hours, he said the phone had bent noticeably in the midsection. When put through a stress test by YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, the iPhone 6 Plus bent to the point that it looked like it would snap in half. But it’s still unclear if this can happen from simply storing the phone in your pocket. The iPhone 6 Plus is made of aluminium, which is known to bend when pressure is applied.
