Twitter chief reveals ISIL death threats against staff

Twitter chief Dick Costolo says he and his staff received death threats from terror group ISIL. The social media site became a target after accounts being used by the militant group to promote their activities and enlist new recruits were shut down. Users linked to the extremists tweeted a series of messages urging ‘lone wolves’ in the US and Europe to take decisive and deadly action against Twitter employees. A specific threat was directed at staff in the Silicon Valley headquarters.

The time has arrived to respond to Twitter’s management by directly attacking their employees and physically assassinating them!! Those who will carry this out are the sleepers cells of death.

Mr Costolo said the death threats were “obviously a jarring thing for anyone to deal with”. The social network has been a crucial platform for the jihadis to promote their objectives and actions, creating Twitter storms, spamming the site with their beliefs and calling on new recruits. However, it is against Twitter’s terms of service and against the law in many of the countries in which they operate to promote terrorist activities. Mr Costolo said Twitter would continue to actively seek out and shut down such accounts.
