Two dead and ten others feared missing as avalanche engulfs climbers in Alps

An avalanche in the Italian Alps has killed two people and several others are missing. The snowslide happened on Monte Nevoso near the Austrian border and as many as 10 people could be buried. The two people killed were attempting to climb to the summit despite there being a risk of avalanches in the area at the time. The risk was put at 3 in a scale where 5 indicates the highest danger. Rescue teams are using a helicopter and dogs to search for survivors.
