Huge 370kg tiger shark fed to the poor and homeless in Texas

In Corpus Christi, more than 90 poor and homeless Texans have dined on seafood: a 370kg (810lb) tiger shark no less. Fisherman Ryan Spring, who spent seven hours hooking the shark (pictured above) in the Gulf of Mexico earlier this month, donated about 35kg (75lb) of the shark’s meat to a local ministry. The 3.9-metre shark was the biggest fish ever donated to the centre, according to the executive director. The fish was cooked by a volunteer chef.
