Reality TV star Bruce Jenner involved in fatal car crash

Olympic gold medalist and reality TV star Bruce Jenner has been involved a car crash which has left one person dead and seven others injured. The star was travelling in one of four vehicles involved in the horrific pile-up in Los Angeles County. Jenner’s publicist, Alan Nierob, said the reality star was unhurt, but offered no further details. The crash happened shortly after noon local time on Saturday on Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway.

Being a celebrity, he’s often followed by the paparazzi and he’s aware of that. He was on his way home, and they happen to know his route.

Authorities have discredited media reports of a paparazzi chase at the time of the accident. Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt Philip Brooks said Jenner had been aware photographers were following him, but that he hadn’t been trying to get away from them. Jenner recently hit the headlines over reports he is currently transitioning to become a woman. The former U.S. track and field athlete won gold in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. He went on to star in the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians with ex-wife Kris Jenner, stepchildren Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian and his children Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
